Ben Carson: Failure of VA a "Gift From God"

Ben Carson is an idiot!
Ben Carson is an idiot!
Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson said the failure of VA to provide veterans with health care was a "gift from God" because it foreshadows the eventual failure of Obama Administration when it comes to completely implementing Obamacare.

What he was trying to say was if the government was ineffective in dealing with a few group of patients, meaning the veterans, it's completely ineffective in taking care of the whole country. "If we can't get it right with a relatively smaller number of veterans, how in the world are you going to do it with the entire population," he said on Fox News.

First thing to note is he was on the Alternative History Channel, as usual, so he won't be challenged on his horses!&t. Secondly his statement is misleading in numerous ways. For starters, VA doesn't have enough money to take care of the returning veterans because the Republicans have been consistently preventing it from being funded. They even voted against the Veterans Jobs bill that would help veterans find jobs a little bit easier.

This is the same party that'd vote for wars that we can't afford, but point to budget cuts when it's time to give health care to the veterans who fought those Republican-wars.

With respect to Obamacare, the US Government will not be running Obamacare; it's an individual mandate. So the government will make people buy insurance from private companies, but those companies will NOT be run by the government. It's not taking over the healtcare system as Republicans put it. As a matter of fact, Obamacare is the right-wing approach to the heathcare system that was actually proposed by the Republicans in the 90s. It's a form of expanding Medicaid. It's nothing like what they have in France or Scandinavia, or other "socialized" countries.
